| I wonder how the educators (and educated) on this forum feel about the upcoming election. It's too early to tell but lately it's been a bit of a circus. There's Hilary, Obama, Rudy, Ron Paul...a cavalcade of stars and a few who aren't even "official" yet (Bloomberg, Fred Thompson). There are almost too many legitimate candidates, which makes me think we might be ready for a third-party upset; there are certainly enough experiments going around, with the youtube debates and the online primary Unity08 that wants to run one democrat and one rep http://www.unity08.com/believe (don't take my word for it). In any case things are starting to heat up, so I thought it was high time for a thread. |

Yikes, what a subject. It's all so complex, and I'm a bit of a skeptic. Who knows what any of them REALLY think or will do? So much blah, blah, blah. My tendency is to go with the party that I think will be best for my source of income, which I'm not ashamed to admit. I think it's what most people, with the exception of some idealist, do but don't want to admit it. I hesitate to say what my source of income is, because everyone will hate me. Ok, it's oil--so hate me.
