Can you quote the sentence? If "thoughts" is the object of the verb then
I'd suggest "put".

Can you quote the sentence? If "thoughts" is the object of the verb
then I'd suggest "put".

or "brought thoughts... to mind" "led to thoughts of...". But as you say,
we need the rest of the sentence.
