If you're feeling evil tell them and bore them with your meaningless and
empty life. That'll teach them.
Otherwise "Not much" is the usual response if nothing outstanding like
winning the lottery or having been abducted by aliens and probed has
happened. |

Depending on my mood, I might say "Not much, how's by you?" or "Things are
going along just fine, thanks."
After all, the question "What's up?" means "What's new?" or "How are you
getting along?" or "How are you?"
Sometimes, if a person is joining a group that has been talking, the
newcomer is really asking "What's going on?"or "What am I missing?" In that
case, the reply would bring the newcomer up-to-date with the group
discussion. |

Hello, yea it's been awhile
Not much, how 'bout you
I'm not sure why I called
I guess I really just wanted to talk to you
And I was thinking maybe later on
We could get together for awhile
It's been such a long time
And I really do miss your smile
I'm not talking 'bout moving in
And I don't want to change your life
But there's a warm wind blowing, the stars are out
And I really love to see you tonight
We could go walking through a windy park
Take a drive along the beach
Or stay at home and watch t.v.
You see it really doesn't matter much to me
I'm not talking 'bout moving in
And I don't want to change your life
But there's a warm wind blowing, the stars are out
And I really love to see you tonight
I won't ask for promise
So don't have to lie
We both play that game before
Say I love you to say goodbye
I'm not talking 'bout moving in
And I don't want to change your life
But there's a warm wind blowing, the stars are out
And I really love to see you tonight
Babe
I'm not talking 'bout moving in
And I don't want to change your life
But there's a warm wind blowing, the stars are out
And I really love to see you tonight
I'm not talking 'bout moving in
And I don't want to change your life
But there's a warm wind blowing, the stars are out
And I really love to see you
I'm not talking 'bout moving in
And I don't want to change your life
But there's a warm wind blowing, the stars are out
And I really love to see you
Tonight
I'm not sure how often you can use this reply with the same person.
And yes, nowhere does it say the question asked was "What's up", but
it probably was.
And yes, I have misgivings about the lyrics. But you asked.

For gosh sakes, when you ask a question, say what sort of English you are asking about.
When you give an answer, say in what part of the world you think your answer is valid.
If you are emailing me please
say if you are posting the same response.
