When the name of a ship is made possessive by adding an apostrophe and
an "s", is the "s" italicized along with the ship's name?

Thanks

P.S. Could you recommend a style guide that references this.

Chicago Manual of Style, 14th ed., p. 201, 6.29: "When a proper name is
in italic type, its possessive ending is preferably set in roman".

No.

I should have added here that the apostrophe is also not italicized.
The possessive ending referred to in the quote below is /'s/, not just
/s/.
