Is this sencence correct?


X and Y shall be jointly referred to as "Parties", and each of them shall be
severally referred to as a "Party" hereinafter.

If not, what would be the correct wording?

This looks OK, but it also looks like a legal
definition -- so lay opinions are valueless:
if it has a legal fuction it must conform to
special legal norms.
