How can I see umlaut symbols like ü and such as in vocaboly?

I've saved the txt file in utf-8 encoding and have set it to western european script, Iv'e also had set the font in vocaboly to western european in the options.
Still no umlauts there, intead are other symbols like inverted question mark.

setting the program font in options only changes it for the white lower box but not for the entire program.
In order to solve this I'm thinking about editing localy the default font which the program uses, in this case which font is this?

Try saving the text file as ANSI encoding, then change the font options with appropriate font and script.

With Ansi it seems that even the textpad dosn't saves the umlaut characters. vocaboly also havn't showed them after setting the font options.

Doesn't your Windows support umlauts? We always save Text file as the default format, it works well even for double-byte system (Asian language). Western European language should be working like English in Vocaboly, no special settings are required.

Clearly it's textpad's problem, try notepad, the problem should be in your text file. Windows should display your text file correctly anyway. My English Windows can display ANSI text files with umlauts.
