I can't be bothered to read all that. Why can't the original poster just give
us a summary of what it does and then ask the question?
Why should it be assumed that we are all intimately familiar with USA government
and USA culture?

Just click on "About the FCC" and read the summary. It's one paragraph.
The comparable agency in the UK appears to be the Office of
Communications. |
