Hi,

I am okay with English with text like chatting with buddies or writing
letters (formal or informal) but when i talk with people i feel not
comfortable & could not find words to express what i am really trying to
say.

Is there any website or program that can develop my speaking ability?

One of the best ways of developing your speaking ability is to speak
out whenever you get a chance to. Often people, usually English
teachers, will not feel disposed to talk to you at length because you
take time to say something. But don't let that discourage you. If you
can't find someone patient enough to have a conversation with, try to
speak to yourself. If, for example, you're looking at something
strange or interesting, try to describe it to yourself. If you have
something in your mind that you want to think about, express your
thoughts in words to yourself instead.

I don't know about others, but I actually improved my speaking ability
through that method.

Someone recently told me that reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer was

a great way to learn vocabulary. That the book brought up a lot of
words he didn't know at the time, but the meaning was made clear by
the context.

I think the more words one knows and the more he practices speaking,
the easier it will get.

It might have been the book about Huckleberry Finn that my friend said
was so good. Both by Mark Twain. Or is it one book with two parts?

I don't know about others, but I actually improved my speaking ability
through that method.

You remind me that when I worked as a night watchman, at the Quality
Egg Company especially, just south of Canal near the West Side
Highway, I had been trying to read a book of Rev. Martin Luther King's
sermons (that I had bought in Guatamala, one of the few English
paperbacks they sold at IGA) and sermons were hard or boring to read.

So instead I read them outloud as if I were speaking to a full
auditorium. I also timed how long it took to read them at what I
thought was a good speed, so that I would be able to predict how long
it would take me to read anything else in public. At this job I was
stationed outside, in my car, but I got out and addressed all the
truck trailers that were parked in the lot. I got very little
applause, but very few complaints also.

It helped some, but I never went into politics or another field that
required a lot of speaking. And it annoys me when people stand up and
ask a question and I can't hear them. It's absurd. Why do they
bother talking if people can't hear them? So I talk loud enough that
everyone can hear me when on occasion I do say something at a meeting
of whatever size.

Speaking at the egg company might have helped even more, but I wasn't
shy to begin with.

I feel the same as you. If I can have conversation with people that will be
great.
It is intellectually and spontaneously.

Go to a bar where English speaking tourists or expatriates hang out.
If you're female, buy a guy a drink. He'll be glad to talk to you.
If you're male, you can try to buy a girl a drink, but if that doesn't
work, buy a guy a drink.

Get a job in a place where such people shop.
Harder to do, find a club that such people belong to and become
interested in whatever the club does.

I don't think I would like to do that.
I am sorry I do not mean to offense anyone here.
I believe that a lot of people will think I am looking for s.. other than
improving my English.
