Hi everyone, I really hope you can help. I'm a totally broke college kid and i just finished off my fafsa. When I got to the end, the confirmation page stated that I had a $8,855 Estimated Family Contribution (EFC). I'm sure this might be fine for some families making upwards of the $100K mark on a yearly basis, but keep in mind, my parents make just over $40k a year and i made just over $15K. Not to mention the fact that my parents will not be paying for anything, period. I really hope you guys can help, this happened last year and im killing myself with student loans here. Any help would be more than appreciated. Thanks again.
