Hi folks,
I am looking for thesaurus software. I do have some very good
dictionaries (including the OED) and these do a perfectly decent job, as
far as they go. But they're certainly no substitute for a good
thesaurus. I have Roget's (in book form) but I always found this a bit
on the thin side.
What do you guys use (or would recommend)? I am not necessarily looking
far something cheap, I'd shell out as long as it's doing its job. (Ah
yes: PC/Windows stuff only, please.)

I have something in mind for you. But it is not software. Ever heard of the www.dictionary.com? It provides quite a number of services and thesaurus is one of them. In fact, here is a question for you, if you have internet connection with you, then this will be perfect for the job. The website is www.thesaurus.com. Go and have a look. And most important of all, it is free and it is definitely useful based on my experience. _________________ what is |

Being a Journalism graduate, I'm a huge fan of thesaurus. During my years of study, it became my best friend as I do my thing for creative writing. With thesaurus help, I was able to catch up the meaning of the word in just one word. Today, I'm working at a BPO company and still refreshing my mind with the use of my beloved thesaurus. I'm digging in dental terminologies so I could explicate myself on various forums and blogs. I don't mind the sources, as long as it is thesaurus, it will be the same thing. |
