[Young Sociolinguist]

Hello everyone,
I'm a 23-year old student of English from Poland and a bit of an
anglophile, to be honest. I'd like to meet people from the UK with whom

to exchange views on language and British culture. I'm also looking for

someone who could complete a questionnaire for me. If you're
interested, read below. The more people take my survey, the better for
my dissertation. Cheers.


I am a fifth-year student of English Philology
at the University of Gdansk, Poland. I am currently writing my MA
thesis
on sociolinguistics, a significant part of which is
a questionnaire to be completed by native speakers of British English,
i.e. people born and educated in Great Britain, whatever their origin.
The questionnaire consists of several specimens of the written and
the spoken language and the task of the respondents will be to assess
them.Completing it will not take more time than doing a small
crossword.
The respondents will not be asked to reveal their personal data such as

their name, age or address and no attempts whatsoever will be made to
estimate their command of English or general knowledge. If you would
like to
participate in the project, thus contributing to my dissertation,
please send me
an e-mail and I will send you an MS Word file containing the
questionnaire.
You can hand in your answers either by e-mail or by post. If you are
unable to help me in person, please send this information to your
family and
friends.
