Never mind centre vs centre which is correct or is this another example
of colonial English?

The dictionary shows barycenter to be correct but of course I know that
that is wrong, it should be either barycentre or baricentre.

Doesn't your post constitute an insult to all the English-speaking
inhabitants of the former British colonies in which the British variant
is the standard one?

And "the dictionary" isn't a particularly helpful term. *What*
dictionary?
