Dictionary compilers have already done this for us --
see for example the Oxford English Dictionary.

If there were any significant differences in meaning or usage between
"anybody" and "anyone," we would expect such differences to be
discussed in *The American Heritage Book of English Usage* at

http://www.bartleby.com/64/pages/page6.html

or in *The Columbia Guide to Standard American English* by Kenneth G.
Wilson at

http://www.bartleby.com/68/34/434.html

But while these books discuss some grammatical points involving
"anybody" and "anyone," neither book identifies any differences of
meaning or usage between the two pronouns.

I'd think this is the speaker's choice. For example;

"Everybody have fun tonight, everybody Wang Chung tonight"

just wouldn't sound right using 'everyone'

Everybody must leave the building. Everyone grab a buddy and leave now.

Everybody is all the people.
Everyone is something you, and every other person must do.

Everybody must leave the building. Everyone grab a buddy and leave now.

Everybody is all the people.
Everyone is something you, and every other person must do.

If this were understandable, it might be dangerous, because it's
almost certainly wrong.

Except for euphony, I haven't seen any basis for distinguishing the
two.

I hope all that grabbing doesn't hurt the buddies.

Have no fear! You will not be one of the body's I chose to rescue!

No worries: you'll be trampled to death by the swarm of aueistas, led
by me, rushing the other way with the express intention of rescuing
Bob.

Interesting quasi-subjunctive in your message, by the way: I'll get
Olcott onto it. Good luck selling the fruit and veg, too: it's a
tough game.
