I have some questions about a few choices phrases I have heard.

"I have been trying to figure out this computer for a week now but I'm still
lost like last years Easter eggs."

"The other day I chased my Prozac (any anti-depressant) with 4 cups of
coffee. I was happier then a 12 year-old girl at a Justin Timberlake
(whoever adolescent girls are obsessed with these days) concert."

Addressing a group or person you are about to go somewhere with. "Alright,
were off like a herd of turtles."

Are these similes of metaphors?

Are these similes of metaphors?

1. "few choice phrases" not "few choices phrases:" We
do not pluralize adjectives. Year's needs the apostrophe.
2. The two figures of speech you prefix with "like" are
similes (= Latin for alike.) You used no metaphors.

"METAPHOR ... 1 : a figure of speech in which a word or phrase
literally denoting one kind of object or idea is used in place of
another to suggest a likeness or analogy between them (as in drowning
in money); broadly : figurative language."

Do you expect me to offer a pig in a poke?
Or should I let the cat out of the bag?
