Hi!

My first language is French and I'm translating something in English. We're
organizing an event and on the Wednesday dinner we will procede to the award
ceremony for the races held on Monday and Thuesday (prior to the dinner).
Should I write:

"Medal presentation from Monday and Thuesday races" or
"Medal presentation from Monday's and Thuesday's races"?

Thanks for your help!

I would say "from the Monday and Tuesday races". (Note spelling.)
I think your second example is OK.

The second is incorrect (apart from spelling), the first is not.

Pat Durkin's suggestion is also OK, but I prefer your second example.

(I'm British and I think Pat is American, so that may explain the
difference to some extent.)

Better still would be:

Presentation of medals for Monday's and Tuesday's races.

Cheers,
Daniel.

I hope this statement reflects a slip of the fingers and not what you
actually think. To me, the second is idiomatic and the first is
erroneous unless it refers to activity repeated weekly.

Aha, it was a slip.

Yup. I also agree with Pat's suggestion.

Yes. Thank you, Bob, for pointing that out. Mea culpa.

To clarify, I meant: "Monday's" (etc.) is correct. "Monday" is not.

Cheers,
Daniel.
