I was playing SCRABBLE the other day with Death, I thought I had done
well by scoring 16 for JIHAD when Death claims 26 for WEEKEND. There was
no cheating and no bonus points, blank tiles or multiple word or letter
scores involved. Explain how he did it.

It does look rather silly and I expect some people may tell you so, are

Still, it's good to see Mr Lyle so gamely attempting to answer these
questions, given the brazen cowardice of his withdrawal from the SDC
before it had even begun. (Not that I'm not complaining, however,
since my proud total of one question answered and zero sheep pocketed
beats his non-runner, so victory is mine.)

Hmm. Colonel lore says tactical restraint beats a rash and
unsuccessful assault. Save y' damn' POWDER, son!!! Ain't never seen
LEAD grow on no TREE, neether!!!

I did have time for one clean miss, though, so our rams are equally
sex-starved this autumn, even if you had a freakishly lucky late
shot.
