Post subject: best definition of phrase "media whore" |
|
|
I'm seeing this phrase once in a while......and have speculated a bit
as to what it might mean.
I have a feeling that there are various definitions, as people apply
the phrase to conform to some vague message they want to convey, or as
they fit it into some preconceived definition niche.
I'd like to hear people's ideas as to what that phrase means to them.
Thank you... Lee Carkenord

Like Paris Hilton, a person that will do anything to get mention in |
the press. The male version is Jesse Jackson.

I will agree with P.H., but I don't think politicians fit well under the
definition. They at least
have some kind of social agenda to promote, even if it's a bit oblique.
Most politicians are drawn to the spotlight like a lizard to a hot rock, but
I think of a media whore as being somebody purely
into media attention for it's own sake.
