If I replace, "You're a fool" with "You're a f**l", those asterisks
have a special name, I understand.
What is it, please?

If it's the thought that counts, then I've racked up more notches than

Asterix the Gaul was silliness. Unfortunately the punny name is lost on
American audiences.
When they teach Europen history in school they never mention that we, your
average white folks, were the Barbarians and not the Romans. |

I've no idea.
But -- putting aside the predictable flippant answers -- I'll be
interested to know if anyone identifies a technical name for it other
than the generic "censoring".
An interesting question.

Why not "bowdle", pronounced "boodle"? "F-L-bowdle-M-E yourself, you
B-bowdle-S-M-bowdle-L D-bowdle-S-T-bowdle-R-D." |
