When did you last look? More importantly, where? It can't have been
in a dictionary.

"hate" is either a noun or verb, depending on the context.

For example, in the sentence "I hate tripe", "hate" is a verb.

In the news banner "Preaching hate", "hate" is a noun.

I have little doubt that you know what he meant. But, in fact, it's
been a noun for over a thousand years. Whether to use _hate_ or
_hatred_ is a matter of style.

I don't think you can embark on a thread of linguistic criticism and then write
"kinda JARS! Very Happy" ....
