Jason: I put a help note on a newsgroup and the person that I told you about
answered and this is his message below:

The appeal process is pretty standard - write a letter explaining why
his academics slipped, and provide them with his progress in the summer
classes to show that he can do well.

Based on the schools policies, he might receive aid.

Last semester my son was going to college and a smart ass came to him to
make him believe that he could become rich almost overnight by selling
services from EXCEL.
He paid $400 to become a representative and started his career in
convincing others to do the same . I found out that this was a pyramid
scheme and disencouraged my son to continue . In the meantime this was too
much time consuming that my son lost days of school and in the process
lost
his Financial Aid for failing to keep the minimun GPA.
He received a Financial Aid Discualification Notice . Now he is taking
summer classes
and is doing good on his GPA. We would like to file a Financial Aid
Discualification Appeal before August 5, 2005 to reinstate the Financial
Aid. How is this process?
Can he be reinstated under this circumstances ? Thank you.
