Dear All,
Very simple grammar question:-
For date format:

1st July, 2005 1st July,
2005
2nd July, 2005 2nd July,
2005
3rd July, 2005 3rd July,
2005
4th July, 2005 4th July,
2005
11st July, 2005 * 11th July,
2005 *
12nd July,2005 * 12th July,

Could you tell me which group is correct ? (A or B)
(Search from Internet, both of them are being used.)
Thanks for your help !!

Group B is correct. If the tens-digit is a one, use "th"; otherwise,
go by the ones-digit: "st" for a one, "nd" for a two, "rd" for a
three, and "th" for all other digits.
In one computer game I have, there is sometimes a unit named "111st
Infantry". I simply pronounce this "eleventy-first infantry".

After figuring out your weird format, (caused by line lengths that are too
long with hard returns and are even worse now) it is Group B that had it
down pat.

Less than forty years ago, Reader's Digest reported a dentist who drove a car
