If you consolidate does the Gov't still pay the interest on the
subsidized (stafford) loans when you are in school?

What about other deferments?


Also are interest rates going up July 1st?

Yes. as long as you are going at least half time.

By consolidating you give up the 6 month grace period you would have had
after leaving school

almost 2 points on July 1.
