My daughter will be attending the Intro to Medicine course taught at
Kansas U this summer. It's associated with Duke TIP. Has anyone
participated in this course? How did you like it? Any information
anyone has on this course would be appreciated.

I don't know anything about the course. However, if your daughter is
considering medical school, I urge you to go directly to Borders and
get one of the books on how to get into medical school. There are two
or three. All pretty good. Each detailing the harsh reality. They are
best read when a student is a junior in high school. They'll help you
plot a course through college and even give advise on which college to
pick - why, for example, it may not be best to major in biology (one
of the books suggests humanities), and why, for example, it may be
better to go to a second tier school as an undergrad, rather, than one
of the top schools (less hard core competition, easier to stand out
and get the GPA).
