If so, the others were asleep. Punning was a common feature in older
literatures such as, for example, in Genesis. The enigmatic character
of Delphic oracular sayings depended often on puns, and in Greek, too.

Don't be stupid. Of course I say the (completely unsubtle) capitalized
"Play." Since that doesn't even come up to the standards of a
nursery-school pun, it was not worth remarking upon. I was waiting to

The correct word should be obsessive-cum-punsive. But it's known as Forster’s syndrome.
