NPR's Melissa Block talks to NPR's David Welna about verbal attacks by
Zell Miller and Vice President Dick Cheney against Senator John Kerry,
at the Republican convention. A look at how their criticism of Kerry
gels with the facts.
In the last sentence, it says "gels"? Do they mean "jibes"?
(BTW, Cheney's and Miller's versions don't match the facts.)

Without looking anything up in order to bolster my opinion (I'll do it |
later) I think gels is the better word here, since the connotation is how
accurately the negative attacks correspond to the facts at hand. Gel implies
harmony, and or the possible lack of it.

Thought gels with the facts was, like, Judy Woodruff and Cristiane Amanpour. |
