Hi:

Can someone tell me if money invested in 592 Plans by grandparents is considered in
evaluating a students eligibility (or amount) for financial aid?

Thanks

John,

529 Savings Plans belong to the benefactor that set it up, not the
student. If owned by the grandparents, it is not reportable on the
FAFSA. If owned by the parents it is reported as a parent asset.
