Hi,

I am enrolling in a Masters program in the UK (I am from the US). I
did my FAFSA for the first time as an indepedent student, and have
recieved the SAR report. However, I am not clear about how will I
recieve the loan (stafford or whatever) As I read, I am eliagble for
student loans of about 18,500 USD. Nowhere in the SAR does it say what
amount I am elligable for or what is the next step in the process.

Since the insitution is outside the US (in the UK) I am not sure how
they will be able to recieve the aid and prepare a package since it's
all in UK pounds. However, on the FAFSA school code search, the
universities are listed and it said it sent the SAR report to those
schools.

Is it possible for Federal Aid to be desposit to my account in the US
and then I exchange the money and wire it to the school?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you,
George Bozovic

George,

The schools will handle it the same as a U.S. school would - They were
sent an SAR, they will inform you of what you are getting, and any
government funds go direct to the school you attend to apply against
your bill. If the funds exceed your bill, the school will give you the
excess after classes have started.
