My SAR reports an EFC of 99,999. I know an EFC of 99,999 is the
highest, but how can I know if it is correct?
I am a first time filer, on the web.
Parents info:
line 76&77: 298,000
line 79: 14,000
line 81: 295,000
line 82: 773,000
Student info:
line 43: 400

Assuming you used the correct info for income and assets, your EFC is
well over 99,999 (I would guess it would be more like $140,000).
Good news and bad news - Bad news: you are not eligible for need-based
financial aid (except an unsubsidized Stafford Loan). Good news: you
have the means to pay for college.
