If you say that you are interested in work-study it might be included in
your aid package. If you say no then they won't offer it to you. Turning
it down will not get you any more aid, they simply won't use work-study.
If you are eligible for say $20,000 and they would give you $10,000 in
loans and gifts and work-study, then if you don't want work-study they
just exclude it from the package and you have to come up with the
replacement funds on your own.
