Student loan interest you paid is a deduction on your tax return. It is
not tax exempt income and it is not an item to be listed on Worksheet B.
Worksheet B is for untaxed income that you received.

I finally figured out that we made too much to qualifiy for EIC after
going to the irs site. Now I am trying to fill out worksheet b.
Since the interest I paid on my student loan is deducted from our
total income I am assuming it is tax exempt.
Am I right?
And yes, I am attempting a search of the irs site again, but my
browser has just frozen for the 3rd time in 30 min when I tried to
click on a link from the irs site
Vicky, with a huge headache right now.
