Post subject: Loan consolidation |
|
|
I've responded to one of the countless loan consolidation companies and I was
wondering if one is better than another. They will lower the rate after 36
on-time payments, dissolve the loan if I die, and not do a credit check. I am a
parent and I'm talking about Plus Loans.
I guess my question is: Why would anyone not consolidate? Any disadvantages?
Is Collegiate Funding Services any different than NextStudent,Consolidation
Assistance Program,College Loan Corporation,Student Loan Center,Nelnet,American
Collegiate Financial Services,Student Loan Financing Services?

Considering that interest rates are so low that they have to go higher
in the future, consolidation is a good move.
As to which is better, that's like asking which credit card is best. It
depends upon the terms they offer and which is best for your particular
situation.
