Post subject: Have a BS/MS in Comp Sci, want to go into Bioinformatics or |

Hi,
I have a Bachelors in Computer Science from Mary Washington College
and a Masters in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
Currently I am working at George Mason University in the
Neuroergonomics lab doing some programming.
What I need is some advice on getting into a Bioinformatics or
Neuroscience program, PhD if possible. Is this possible without a
background in Biology (I took 2 Biology courses in my undergrad years,
thats my Bio background)? I worked part time in the Bioinformatics
deparment during my NEU years and from the little that I picked up, I
got pretty interested in the subject matter.
What steps do I need to take to attain a PhD in those subjects? Do I
need to make connections with some professors to have any hope at all?
How do I go about finding professors who have openings for PhDs?
I would appreciate ANY help or advice, thanks.
