I'm considering a career shift and would like to apply to grad school
to obtain an M.S.W and hopefully become a therapist.

In the Boston area where I live, there are several strong clinical
programs (each costing 20k+/yr) and one state program that is approx.
$6k/yr. I hate the prospect of coming out of a program at least 40K
in debt when I will most likely be starting out at a very low salary,
but wonder whether or not the school's reputations will play a part in
the jobs I will be considered for. Would the state program (which is
much more affordable) be considered less valuable?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
