A good summary of APA style is at:
http://lisweb.curtin.edu.au/referencing/apa.html

Alternatively, have you heard of Endnote? It's a computer program that
ties into Word: you type in the title, author, etc of each reference,
tell it what style you want, and it puts the correctly formatted
reference into your Word document. It takes a little bit of time to
learn everything it can do, but once you've learnt it, you can easily
switch between any citation style you need.

A lot of universities can provide it free to students - ask at your
library or computer services centre. They may also have tutorials
available to introduce you to using it.

I just started at the University of Phoenix and had to do the same
thing. I found a software program that formats everything for you as
you write and walks you through your cites. I couldn't live without
it. You can download it here:

http://www.perrla.com/

It attaches to Word and works just like it was a natural part of the
program. You may also want to pick up an APA guide. Try this link for
that:

Hope this helps you out a bit!

As with MLA there is a lot to writting according to the APA format,
probably more.

I think the best source, although it'll cost you is the 5th edition of
APA's Publication Manual.

Here's their site. Good luck.

The cheap option is to just look at it in your university library. Smile
There should be a copy in the reference collection.

How do you like that school? I've started online school with Western
International. Which UP now owns.
